Look Out PR4GT
I have ran Angel GTs, T30 EVOs, PR4GTs, and now these. For my FJR1300, these have been the best tread life to performance ratio. At 5k miles they are getting close to wear bars. PR4 lost their shape at 3500. T30s and Angels would be shot around 4500. These have kept shape and feel as good as a new set. Front tire has a few thousand more left in it. Rear has maybe 1500 left.

good tires
Just mounted my Roadsmart 3’s yesterday. Rode today, Not many miles on them but seem to be a pretty good tire. 3 long distance trips coming up this summer, can't wait to see what kind of mileage I get out of these

Good tire for the price but not so good in the rain
I am near the end of life on my 2nd set of RS3 tires on my Triumph Trophy. I switched to these from the PR4GTs previously used because of excellent rebates. The RS3s are fine for DRY roads but not nearly as sticky as the PR4GT on wet roads. I have 48k miles on this bike and I ride hard wet or dry. These tires do not inspire the same level of confidence I got from the PR4GTs. On 2 recent trips with lots of wet roads the RS3s felt way too loose in the corners compared to PR3s and PR4s.

Bottom line: Get them if you don't ride in the rain.

Replaced Michelin PR4
2016 BMW R1200RS I have run many Brands of tires over many years on different motorcycles and had come to rely on Michelin Pilot Roads as my "go to" long distance trip tires in all their incremental offerings, but I just didn't like the wear and handling of the PR4 series (I see the new 5 has many changes) and Michelin has gotten very proud of their prices. friends had reported good results with the older version(s) Dunlop Road Smarts in the past and with great pricing offers it made a great opportunity to try them. Only 3500 miles previous to trading for another BMW, but overall huge value, great handling in dry and wet conditions on our Smoky Mountain roads. Can't report on longevity due to trade, but rear only showed very minor flattening in center and front had slightest hint of cupping if looking very close. I run my bike hard and weigh 250 pounds so in my case, that is very good results and if extrapolated would easily match the Michelin for anticipated wear. Price point makes it a excellent option.

Prepare to slide
Bought them because of the rebate. Expected good things. They are a menace in the rain. I’ve had the rear break loose multiple times on wet pavement where other tires have not and would not have. Even under gentle acceleration, rear frequently loses traction.

Just purchased these
I like these tires so far. Was using the Pilot Road 4's but am hoping to get more mileage out of these. I'm on a 2015 R1200RT. The crown is a tad bit higher on these over the Pilot Road... I will report back on tread life and wet traction once I have data.

Tires appear great.
Only recently mounted the set of tires. Went on easily but took 1 1/4 oz of weight to balance rear tire. Ride was smooth and traction seems to be good for the short ride I managed to take.

Are these made in USA ?
Virgil M on Aug 20, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There are some specialized Dunlop tires that are made in the USA, but most tires like this one are manufactured internationally and then shipped to the States.
