    Tires perform throughout their life.
Reading testiments on a Kawasaki forum last year I decided to put the Cobras on my Vulcan 2000. First of all you must understand that the Vulcan 2000 is known for eating rear tires, usually within 6,000-8,000 miles. I installed the Cobra and it has given me 12,000 very satisfied miles. Right off the bat I was impressed with how the bike cornered in comparison to the Bridgestones that were on it. After 12,000 I am close to the wear indicator and still cornering amazingly. What's really nice about the Cobras is that they don't wonder with a grooved road. With all of the road construction going on currently it nice to select my own path instead off being thrown where ever the road pitches me.

    Crazy Lean Angels Found Here
I'm getting ready to install my 3rd set of Venom's on my GL1800. If you want the best grip and handling in wet or dry these tires are the bomb. I ride aggressively in the twisties and fast and have no complaints at all. For tire life, I see 7 to 10k on the rear and about 15k on the front before replacement is needed. Tire pressure is always set to 41 PSI and checked routinely. These hoops are silent when corning and allow you to flick the big girl in transition corners like no other.

If your concern is strictly long mileage....go elsewhere.

    Fantastic Tires
These tires are fantastic. I have always had Dunlop Elite 3's but a friend told me to move up to the Cobra's. What a great ride and handling. With the last set of Dunlop's I got 20K which is very good, so I am curious on what the mileage will be? But I am willing to trade a little of that for these great performing tires.

    An Improvement Over Stock
My previous tire was a Dunlop 240/40; the Avon 250 fits with no problems, looks better and handles better. The only question at this point is the durability. I have a friend who has been running this tire on his 2009 Muscle and he has had better durability with this than stock, so I expect similar results.

    Great Tire
I damaged my stock Bridgestone 210 tire when trying to load my bike on the truck (it slipped on the ramp and got shaved to the cords) so I was on the market for the new tire. Lots of Stryker riders upgraded to 240 tire that fits on the stock rim so I decided to follow the same path cause 240 looks awesome! I was deciding between Avon and Michelin and ended up purchasing Avon as a lot of people said it has better tread life and wet grip. I rode about 800 miles since I got it and it has been very good so far. I've ridden in the heavy pouring rain and I can tell I had much more confidence than I had with the stock 210. Plus, this tire has more round profile which contributes to the cornering. 210 had a very wide flat spot in the middle with 2 very pronounced edges.

    I recommend this tire!

P.S. I ride 2011 Yamaha Stryker, but that model is unavailable in the list so disregard bike model. I believe its because of the tire size

Good solid tire. Profile seems a tad lower on my '99 Valkyrie Interstate than the Dunlop did. Only 20 miles so far but, no issues. This company was super fast ship!

I have a 2011 ultrasound custom with an ultimatum 127 ci v twin currently l have a Metzler 880 130/70/18 on the front and an 200/50/18 880 on the rear, I want to run the Avon 200/55/18 AV 72 on the rear and the 150/70/18 AV 72 on the front any thoughts on this combo?
    A shopper on Apr 18, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Running the 200/55-18 Avon AV72 Rear is going to be roughly 10mm larger then the tire you are currently running so you will be good. As for the front I would recommend talking to your local mechanic since there is quite a difference in height and width going from 130 to 150, roughly 3/4 of a inch taller and wider and your front rim may not be large enough to accept a 150 tire.
I've seen on some forums that the 200/55 looks more like a 180 tire once mounted but on a 5.5 wide rim I have a 6 inch rim will the 200 be wider on this rim?
    A shopper on May 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I use the 200/60 on a 6 wide rim. The 200 number is the tire width, so a 5.5 inch rim wont make a difference in the width

Is this the same tire as the Avon Venom size 250/40R18?
    A shopper on Feb 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The Avon Cobra and the Venom are not the same. For more information regarding these two tire's I would recommend contacting Avon directly. Below is a link to there website.
