    Love this exhaust!

The sound is amazing. the instant bottom end power increase was great. The FZ-09 has a one piece exhaust and this is the most affordable (and only) slip-on exhaust. Very easy to cut the stock catalytic converter off, the exhaust has a double (over/under) flange that seals very well. Highly recommend this exhaust!

    Vance and Hines is beast!

Let me answer your first initial question: No you are not required for the fuel pack. However, keep in mind that this "slip on" flows more free than the exhaust and you will get a little bit of popping without any fuel management. It looks so much better in person and YouTube clips do not do it justice. I am not usually mechanically savvy and I was able to install this myself. Just have a good attitude and watch the YouTube installation videos and you will be fine! I have mine installed with ape hanger bars and it looks very nice! Five stars for me!
