    SW-MOTECH Flush-Mount 12-Volt Cigarette-Style Socket

Looks great but a little underpowered

Good: I mounted the power outlet in the fairing deck of my V-Strom adventure and it looks like it came that way from the factory. Installation was easy and items plugged into the outlet stay connected. The quality is good. Not-So-Good: the outlet has a very low amp rating. It works fine to power a GPS or smart phone but it blew immediately when I tried to use a small tire inflator. The wires are small gauge so using a larger fuse to fix the problem would probably be a very bad idea. The cover vibrates off once a week or so. This isn't a problem but will let water in if it happens when it is raining. If I had to make the purchase over again, I would look for one with a higher amperage rating.
