MV Agusta has expanded its “Reparto Corse” family with a new addition to its naked line of three-cylinder machines – the Dragster 800 RC. The RC is based on MV Agusta’s Brutale Dragster 800 RR and only 350 units are planned for production.
The red, white and green colorway is unique to the RC, as are the forged wheels. MV’s standard Dragster 800 RR comes with spoked, aluminum wheels.
The essentials remain the same between the RC and RR versions of the Dragster 800, starting at the 798cc Triple which puts out 140 horsepower at 13,100 rpm. The RC also comes with the full engine management system with elements such as a rev limiter, engine torque management system, throttle sensitive adjustment, eight level traction control and the latest version of MV’s Electronically Assisted Shift (EAS) system, a quickshifter that works moving up or down the gearbox.
A fully-adjustable, inverted Marzocchi fork and Sachs rear shock absorb bumps while Brembo componentry takes care of bringing the RC to a stop. Bosch 9 Plus ABS with rear wheel lift mitigation is included as well.
The RC also features the same steel tubular frame and aluminum alloy single sided swingarm of the RR and same 120/70 ZR-17 front and 200/50 ZR-17 rear tires (Pirelli Diablo Rosso IIs are shown in press images).
As a limited-run motorcycle, the RC will feature an individual number plate indicating which machine out of the 350 units produced it is.
MV Agusta is guilty once again of creating a devastatingly beautiful machine, so we’ve included a large stock of photos below for your viewing pleasure.
