Ducati have announced a Pro version of its popular Multistrada 1200 Enduro, a more trail-worthy version than the stock or standard Enduro models currently available. Some stylistic changes alongside a few component updates make this machine the appealing choice for those with off-road ambitions. Mechanical and electronic components are unchanged.
Perhaps the most significant difference between available Multistradas and the Pro is the switch from Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires to the Pirelli Scorpion Rally tires. The Rally is definitely the more off-road capable option and will be an asset when venturing off the beaten path.
The Touratech crash bars and auxiliary LED lights are other elements that take the Pro a step beyond, as is the lower-profile windscreen and Ducati Performance exhaust by Termignoni.
Additionally, the sand colorway is unique to the Pro, as is the two-tone seat, black subframe and black alternator and clutch cover.
At the heart is the 1198cc Ducati Testastretta DVT L-Twin engine, with power metered to the rear wheel via six-speed transmission. Suspension is fully adjustable front and rear, with a Sachs 48mm fork and Sachs shock out back. Electronic adjustment options are available fore and aft thanks to the included semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension. Brembo hardware brings the Pro to a stop, a dual 320mm disc, four-piston ABS-equipped set-up in the front and a 265mm disc, dual-piston ABS-equipped package out back.
A broad assortment of electronic aids ties the package together, from a selection of four ride modes, cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Vehicle Hold Control, Ducati Multimedia System and more.
No pricing or availability information is available at this time. The standard Enduro, for reference, starts at $21,295.
