Chris Fillmore recently etched his name in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb record books with his 9:49.625 run to the top, the fastest ever set by a rider on two wheels. It was also his first time competing in the event. Fillmore, a former KTM-backed competitor in MotoAmerica/AMA Pro Racing, piloted a 2017 KTM Super Duke 1290 R for the Climb, as did second-place finisher Rennie Scaysbrook. Third went to Bruno Langlois aboard a 2017 Kawasaki Z900.
