Kawasaki’s latest iterations of Z motorcycles sport an angular aesthetic that many either love, or hate (see our review of the now discontinued Z800). For those that fall into the latter category it appears that there may be another option, truer to the design spirit of the original Z1, on the horizon. Today Kawasaki released a teaser video for a new Z900RS, included below, that the brand describes as capturing the “true spirit” of the Z line. There’s a flash at eight seconds of a round headlight and instrument displays, a peek of a tank that doesn’t appear to have the sharp lines of the current Z’s on offer followed by a few seconds of ride footage that clearly show a machine more in keeping with the traditional UJM look. Expect an unveiling at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 25, 2017.
