Schuberth got in on the product premier fun at this year’s Intermot Show in Cologne, Germany with the world debut of its new C4 modular helmet.
This lid has some sophisticated tech built-in, with an integrated antenna and pre-installed speakers and microphone. The Bluetooth optimized C4 is plug-and-play ready to connect to the SC1 communication system, a platform that was created in collaboration with SENA Technologies.
As with all Schuberth’s premium helmets, the C4 was developed in the Schuberth Air and Acoustics lab to achieve top-notch aerodynamics and external noise reduction. It also comes with a large, anti-fog lens that provides ample field of view, even when tucked down in a more sport riding position. The C4 also has a built in sunvisor that’s engaged via a slider on the side of the helmet.
The exterior is constructed using Schuberth’s Direct Fiber Processing method, creating a preformed shell that’s then submitted to high pressure in a heatable mold along with resin to make the rigid outer portion. Inside, the ShinyTex lining is removable, washable and fast-drying. The C4 also has a multi-chamber ventilation system to push air through the helmet while on the road.
Sizes will be available in XS through 3XL starting Spring 2017. There will be six different solid colorways available starting at 649 Euros ($727) or two different graphics options starting at 749 Euros ($839).
