Brembo, maker of some of the finest motorcycle braking components in the world, has introduced its latest radial master cylinder innovation, the 19RCS Corsa Corta. The Italian manufacturer has long been a staple of the MotoGP paddock and incorporates technology developed in the world premier racing series in the new 19RCS.
The highlight of the new 19RCS kit is the ability to adjust the point at which the brake bites. A selector on top of the master cylinder provides three different settings. There’s a Race option, with bite coming almost immediately in the stroke, a Sport setting which allows a bit more gradual application before bite and a Normal setting that affords the most gradual application of braking force.
Additionally, the RCS Corsa Corta comes with the Ratio Click System (RCS) allowing the rider to adjust the fulcrum to piston distance between either 18mm or 20mm.
The adjustment options are complemented by a forged aluminum housing with 5 axis CAM technology. Ultra-hard oxidized surface finish ensures wear resistance, and the floating piston and gaskets are those found in MotoGP componentry. The bleed and brake fluid circuit couplings are brought over directly from MotoGP as well. The entire unit was built to exude a sporting aesthetic with its slim design.
The new 19RCS Corsa Corta is slated to be available sometime in June and will carry a $318 MSRP.
